All, Monotype, 30 x 48 cm. Red inkt + graphite drawing on 300gr. paper 2005. Anook Cléonne

Deze Monoprint is ook uit een serie monoprints waarin ik aansluitend in ben gaan tekenen. Monotype is een techniek waarin je, alhoewel gemaakt in druk, tóch steeds een unica print maakt. Het werk is ontstaan vanuit het waanbeeld dat men overal grip op kan krijgen. Het werk verbeeld de zwaarte van dat besef en het dwalen in een steeds groter wordende labyrinth. Een bijzonder werk daar ik inmiddels geen kleur meer gebruik in mijn tekeningen.De tekening is ook af te halen in mijn atelier. De tekening heeft een heleboel details die zich enkel van dichtbij onthullen.

This Monotype print is also from a series in which afterwards I started drawing drawing. Monotype is a technique in which one, although printing is often used to make replica series, still makes one, unique, print. The print is based upon the weight one may feel if one has the delusion that they can get a grip on everything. The drawing depicts the feeling of being lost in a labyrinth of structures.  The work is now the more special since in my latest drawings I do not use color anymore. The drawing has a lot of details that reveal themselves only at close range.
